Speaking Competitions

The Arts Unit's Speaking Competitions comprise three main areas: debating, public speaking and spelling. The debating and public speaking programs aim to develop oracy, teamwork, research, the ability to engage in contemporary issues, and the ability to respond to arguments and approach topics from unfamiliar perspectives. The Premier's Spelling Bee is a fun way for primary school students to engage with spelling, improving literacy in line with the English K-10 Syllabus.
