International Jazz Day

International Jazz Day

International Jazz Day is held on 30 April every year. In 2019, Melbourne hosted the Global Concert.

The Arts Unit works with James Morrison and the organisers of International Jazz Day to provide opportunities for students, teachers and schools to get involved with International Jazz Day.

A composition competition was held for NSW Public Schools students. Congratulations to Flynn Poppleton and Naomi-Nogawa-Lewy on winning this competition. Their arrangements will be made available for school bands to learn shortly. Read more about this here

The composition was performed in Melbourne as part of International Jazz Day in Melbourne 2019.
